Isola is the author of several books like Efunsetan Aniwura: Iyalode Ibadan, O Leku, Saworo Ide, Koseegbe, Tinubu: Iyalode Egba and Aye ye won tan. Others are Afaimo ati awon arofo miiran, Eru Owo, Ofin Ga, Herbert Macaulay and the spirit of Lagos, and The Modern Yoruba Novel: An analysis of the writer's art.
Isola has capped his literary achievements with the imaginative plot and authentic language of three video films: Koseegbe, O leku, Saworo Ide. These films, which can be fairly described as modern classics, have set a pattern of excellence and are already serving as a corrective in a market glutted with poor or, at best, mediocre video films.
